Daniel C. Jordan

Daniel C. Jordan is the Chief Trial Attorney at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a position held since 2005, where responsibilities include investigating and prosecuting violations of the Commodity Exchange Act in federal courts, as well as managing case teams and collaborating with various governmental agencies. Daniel served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Research and Writing at George Washington University from 2006 to 2016, teaching first-year law students. Prior experience includes working as a Litigation Attorney at Hunton & Williams, focusing on complex tort litigation and managing a pro bono docket and attorney recruitment, and similar litigation work at Shook, Hardy & Bacon. Daniel earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia, along with fellowship experience at the UVA Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
