Commanding Officer Of CGC Walnut (wlb 205) at U.S. Coast Guard

Torrey Jacobsen serves as the Commanding Officer of USCGC WALNUT (WLB 205), overseeing the largest Coast Guard Cutter in the Gulf of Mexico, with responsibilities that include maintaining over 150 Aids to Navigation. With a robust career at the U.S. Coast Guard since May 2009, Jacobsen has held multiple leadership positions, including Military Aide to the Vice Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, Commanding Officer of USCGC KATHERINE WALKER, Executive Officer of CGC ELM, and Operations Officer aboard CGC JUNIPER. Jacobsen began the career as Assistant Chief Engineer on CGC RESOLUTE. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration focused on Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
