Kevin Barragan-Smith is a qualified demographer and statistician currently employed at the U.S. Census Bureau since May 2014. In the role of Demographer/Statistician within the Population Division, Kevin leads the Population Estimates and Housing Unit Estimates Special Tabulation Program, managing the development and delivery of custom tabulations. Previously, Kevin served as a Survey Statistician, where financial data for over 90,000 local governments was collected and analyzed. Kevin's expertise in demographic and public health data was further developed as a Mathematics and Statistics Student Trainee during the Pathways Internship Program. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Demography, a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs with concentrations in French & Francophone Studies, and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business. Additional experience includes teaching roles at Florida State University and a research internship at the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
