Cristina Bradatan is a demographer currently serving in the International Programs Center at the U.S. Census Bureau since November 2020. Prior to this role, Cristina held various academic positions at Texas Tech University from September 2007 to 2023, including Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work. Cristina also contributed to USAID as an AAAS Science and Technology Fellow from September 2013 to August 2014, focusing on global climate change issues and international development. In 2006, Cristina was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, specializing in European fertility, marriage, and cohabitation. Cristina holds a PhD in Sociology and Demography from Penn State University and has additional postgraduate and master's degrees in Demography, Population Studies, Sociology, and Mathematical Statistics from Charles University and the University of Bucharest.
