Destiny Davis, PhD, is a Plant Science Expert currently serving at the U.S. Botanic Garden since September 2022. Responsibilities include developing a five-year strategic plan for science engagement, enhancing connections with the scientific community, offering public programs, serving as science editor, and providing technical research support. Previously, Davis held a Communications Internship at Berkeley Lab while also conducting post-doctoral research as a Plant Cell Biologist on a lab-directed project. Educational experience includes serving as a Scientific Presentations Instructor and Curriculum Developer at the University of California, Davis, and completing a PhD in Plant Sciences from the same institution. Early research roles included work in plant cell differentiation and secondary metabolism.
