W. Gerald McElroy currently serves as a Special Advisor at USAID and co-founded Yspaniola, an organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities in the Dominican Republic through various initiatives, including scholarships and leadership training. McElroy has extensive experience in diplomatic and development roles, having worked as a Senior Adviser and Political Adviser at the OAS, where responsibilities included advising on community violence reduction in Haiti. Previous positions feature roles as a consultant for Rosente Group and Digicel Group, as well as advising US Ambassador James Brewster on migration and Haiti-Dominican Republic relations. McElroy holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French from Yale University and a Master of Public Administration in International Development from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
