Richard Adams is an experienced procurement professional with a robust background in purchasing and supply chain management. Currently serving as Head of Procurement at U-POL LTD since October 2012, Richard is responsible for the procurement of various materials including solvents and chemicals, while also developing strategic category initiatives. Prior to this role, Richard was Purchasing Manager at Chemence Ltd from February 2008 to October 2012, overseeing a diverse inventory of over 4500 parts and managing an annual spend of £6 million across a global supplier network. Richard's career also includes a tenure as Chemical Process Engineer and Senior Buyer at KAB Seating, as well as serving as a Teaching Company Associate at Strong and Fisher. Richard holds a BSc (Hons) in Polymer Science and Technology from The Manchester Metropolitan University, earned between 1989 and 1993.
