Laura Burns currently serves as Vice President and Head of External Communications at Tyson Foods, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Laura was Senior Vice President of Public Relations and Crisis Communications at BoardroomPR from November 2012 to July 2023, where Laura also held the title of Vice President and Crisis Communications Specialist. Laura has extensive experience in the media industry, having worked at WPLG from January 2006 to November 2012 in various roles including Executive Producer, where responsibilities included managing newsroom operations and leading a team for newscast production. Additionally, Laura contributed as a mentor for the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program from September 2013 to July 2020. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University, earned between 2001 and 2005, and attended Pine Crest School from 1991 to 2001.
