Richard Kerry

Richard Kerry has over 29 years of work experience in various roles within the construction and infrastructure industry. Richard started their career as a Student Engineer at Balfour Beatty plc, where they gained experience in site engineering functions. Richard then worked as a Senior Site Engineer at the same company, handling projects related to drainage, structures, and planning departments.

Kerry later joined Halcrow, where they served as a Chartered Engineer and Contracts Specialist. Here, they held several project management, technical design, and contract development roles in the UK, Bulgaria, and the USA. Richard also had client secondments at organizations like British Nuclear Fuels Ltd., the UK Highways Agency, and the Texas Department of Transport.

Since 2007, Kerry has been working at TYPSA, where they have held various positions. Richard started as a team leader and contracts specialist, overseeing the supervision of the Plovdiv-Svilengrad Railway project in Bulgaria. Richard later became the Director of Contracts Management - International, providing contractual, commercial, and implementation support to high-value projects worldwide.

Throughout their career, Kerry has gained extensive experience in project management, contract administration, and risk management.

Richard Kerry obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey between 1989 and 1993. In 1996 and 1997, they studied Civil Engineering Law and Contract Procedure at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Later, from 2000 to 2002, Richard pursued a Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) in Engineering Management through the Engineering Management Partnership program at the University of Bristol. Finally, from 2011 to 2013, they attended King's College London, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution.
