Aleksandar Kavgic

Senior Business Developer at Typhoon HIL, Inc.

Aleksandar Kavgic has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Aleksandar started their career in 2002 as a Junior Teaching Assistant at the Department of English, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, where they were responsible for practice classes and seminars. Aleksandar gradually progressed through the ranks and held positions such as Senior Teaching Assistant and Senior Instructor, teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses. During their time at the university, they also mentored MA students and actively participated in accreditation documentation and research projects.

In 2009, Aleksandar joined the British Council Serbia as an External asset for Cambridge ESOL exams, specializing in speaking examination. Aleksandar served as a speaking examiner for Cambridge ESOL exams until 2018.

In 2014, they joined Moravia (via Continuum d.o.o.) as a Language Moderator for Serbian localization projects. In this role, they translated terminology, addressed linguistic queries, performed quality assurance, and provided feedback to subsidiary teams.

In 2015, Aleksandar began their tenure at Typhoon HIL, Inc. as a Marketing Specialist. Aleksandar later transitioned to the role of Senior Business Developer in January 2020, where they currently hold the position.

Aleksandar Kavgic has an extensive education history. Aleksandar obtained their Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature, General from the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad from 1997 to 2001. Aleksandar further pursued their education and earned a Master's Degree in English Linguistics from the same institution between 2001 and 2005. Aleksandar continued their academic journey and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English Linguistics from the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad from 2007 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained a certification as a Memsource Certified Trainer from Memsource in May 2016.
