John Backus is a director at Two Six Labs and a venture capitalist. John has experience as a CEO and in corporate development. John co-founded US Order, an electronic banking company, in 1990 and took it public in 1995. John merged it with Colonial Data Technologies in 1996 to form Intelidata and served as the CEO of the combined company. John invested $5M in Home Financial Network, a startup company, while they were CEO and returned $50M when it was sold. John left Intelidata in 1998 and became a managing partner at Draper Atlantic Venture Fund. John has made exits from Trancentrix (sold to Ruesch International, now part of Travelex), Vente (sold to Experian), DivX (IPO), Mobile365 (acquired by Sybase, now part of SAP), and GlobalLogic (acquired by APAX partners).
John Backus received their MBA in finance from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and their BA in economics from Stanford University.
