Alexander Allen is a seasoned engineering manager with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Twitch since December 2022, Alexander oversees the Native Playback SDK for Twitch and AWS's Interactive Video Service. Previously, Alexander held the position of Software Engineering Manager at IMDb.com, leading iOS and Android development teams for IMDb's Consumer business. Prior experience includes roles at Amazon within the Prime Video Playback Team, focusing on iOS and Android Playback SDKs and live video streaming, as well as a Senior Software Engineer position at Microsoft, where contributions spanned various teams in the Xbox and Windows organizations. Alexander's early career featured development work at the Virtual Reality Applications Center. Alexander earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Iowa State University in 2008.
