Betsy Helmeke, OWDS, GCDF, currently serves as the Employer Services Manager at Twin Cities R!SE since October 2017, where responsibilities include fostering positive relationships with potential employers and ensuring participants have access to current employment information. Previous roles at Twin Cities R!SE encompass Lead Employment Specialist and Employment Specialist, focusing on developing job strategies and facilitating long-term job training for adults facing employment barriers. Betsy's experience also includes serving as a Career Developer at RESOURCE, Inc., Vice President of the InterCorps Council of Minnesota, and an AmeriCorps VISTA member, working on economic development initiatives. Early career roles involve organizing volunteer efforts for the New Hampshire Democratic Party and supporting constituents in congressional outreach. Betsy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, a Certificate in Scandinavian Studies and International Politics from the University of Oslo, and an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Central Lakes College.
