Bart Sturm is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Bart started their career as a Bijlesdocent at Studiekring in 2011. After that, they worked as a Remote Marketing Intern at deviantART, Inc., where they tested online products, conducted data mining, and assisted in organizing contests and projects. Bart also served as a Volunteer Mentor and Community Volunteer, providing technical and general customer service, training and leading a team of volunteers, and cooperating with developers to solve issues.
In 2013, Bart joined Peerby as a Growth Hacker, where they created processes, hired and coached team members, and contributed to customer service, technical troubleshooting, and quality assurance. Bart also transitioned into development at the request of the CTO.
From 2015 to 2016, Bart worked as a Full Time Volunteer JavaScript Developer at The Ocean Cleanup. During this time, they gained valuable experience in JavaScript development.
In 2016, Bart joined Swuto as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer, where they utilized technologies such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Node.js, Express.js, jQuery, Git, Lodash, Handlebars, and MongoDB.
Most recently, Bart co-founded TutorMundi in 2017 and assumed the role of Co-Founder & Head of Technology. Bart has played a crucial role in leading the development of Brazil's leading microtutoring platform, which has received high ratings and praises from users.
Bart Sturm completed their high school education at Haarlemmermeerlyceum from 2004 to 2010. Following this, they attended Utrecht University from 2010 to 2011 to study Musicology, though they did not earn a degree. Bart then pursued further education at the University of Amsterdam, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Studies from 2012 to 2015.
