Dawn Summers has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dawn started their career in 1997 at Warshauer Electric Supply, where they worked as a Receptionist, Sales Assistant, and Warehouse employee until 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Dawn worked as a Sales Assistant at Rexel - SPT Electrical Supply. In 2003, they joined Turtle & Hughes as a Customer Service Representative, a position they currently hold. Dawn's experience also includes an internship at Soriano's Caterers from 2009 to 2010. In 2013, they started working as a Pastry Prep Cook at Ninety Acres Culinary Center, where they stayed until 2021. Additionally, Dawn worked in Counter Sales at Anderson Lawnmower of Scotch Plains from 1991 to 2012. Overall, their work experience encompasses customer service, sales, receptionist duties, and culinary arts.

Dawn Summers attended South Plainfield High School from 1989 to 1993. After high school, they went on to Stockton University in 1993 to 1994, where they studied Public Health. In 2006, they enrolled at Raritan Valley Community College and completed their Associates of Science degree in Food and Beverage Management in 2009. Dawn then pursued further education in the field of emergency management and attended the Emergency Management Institute from 2011 to 2012. Transitioning into the culinary arts, they later attended The Institute of Culinary Education from 2012 to 2013, focusing on Culinary Arts/Chef Training.
