Arne Smits has a diverse work experience with multiple roles in the technical support field. Arne started their career as a Technical Support Specialist at Tiscali in 1999 and worked there until 2005. Arne then moved on to Genesys Conferencing as a Helpdesk Agent from 2005 to 2007. After that, they joined InterCall as a Team Lead from 2007 to 2013. In 2014, they joined Turnitin as a Product Specialist - Team Lead and later became a Product Owner in 2016. Arne then progressed to a Tier 1 Support Team Manager role from 2018 to 2021. Their most recent positions at Turnitin include Senior Manager, Technical Support from 2021 to 2022 and currently holds the position of Director, Technical Support starting from March 2022.
Arne Smits earned an MBA in Business from The Open University between 2008 and 2012. Additionally, Arne obtained the certification of Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO1) from Scrum.org in 2016.
