Bernadette Bassett has a strong background in education, with experience in various roles. Bernadette started their career as a Special Education Teacher at Streator Elementary School District 44 in 2004. After two years, they moved on to Joseph Academy Inc, where they served as a Special Education Teacher from 2006 to 2009. Bernadette then transitioned to the role of Principal Administrator at the same company until 2014. In 2014, Bernadette joined Turning Pointe Autism Foundation as the Day School Director, where they currently work.
Bernadette Bassett pursued their education starting from 1999 to 2003 when they attended Illinois State University. Bernadette obtained a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching during this period. Later, from 2007 to 2009, Bernadette enrolled at National Louis University, where they completed their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Administration and Supervision.
