Tim Nichols is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in public affairs and communications. Currently serving as the Senior Media Officer at TUC since June 2014, Tim leads media initiatives focusing on the economy, industrial strategy, corporate governance, and public services, collaborating closely with the General Secretary and Senior Management Team. Prior to TUC, Tim held the position of Press and Parliamentary Officer at the Child Poverty Action Group from October 2006 to June 2014, where responsibilities included strategy development and media advocacy. Tim also worked as a Political Adviser and Office Manager for Danny Alexander MP in 2005-2006, and as a Political Researcher for Sue Doughty MP from 2001 to 2005, gaining comprehensive experience in policy advising, parliamentary operations, and media relations. Tim holds a Master of Science in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and History of Science, both from The University of Manchester.
