Vera K. is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Senior Grants Specialist in Partnership and Development at the Truth Initiative since September 2021. Previous experience includes roles as a Chiropractic Assistant at Living Wellness Chiropractic of Columbia, Health Screening Tech at Interactive Health, and Development & Marketing Intern at the Maryland State Dental Association. Vera's background also features a position as a Student Assistant at the Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering and as a Front Desk Receptionist for the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Community Health with a focus on Health Risk Behavior from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from Marshall University. Additionally, Vera has contributed as an Undergraduate Representative for the School of Public Health Community Engagement Committee and as an Assistant Project Leader for Public Health Without Borders-Ethiopia.
