Craig Vonilten has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Craig started their career at Ziatech Corporation in 1987, where they worked as an Electrical Engineer responsible for designing Industrial I/O and Controller cards. Craig also handled impedance matched backplane design and mechanical design work.
In 2000, Craig joined Intel Corporation as a Project Manager, leading the "Ketris" program and multi-blade server systems development. Craig managed both electrical and mechanical engineering teams, focusing on chassis architecture, electro-mechanical integration, and power supply solutions.
Craig then joined Trust Automation, Inc. in 2002 as the Director of Engineering. Craig managed three engineering groups and was responsible for project management, budget allocation, technical sales support, and personnel management. Craig also worked closely with contract manufacturers.
From 2008 to 2011, Craig worked at Fleet Management Solutions as the Director of Professional Services. In this role, they oversaw various projects and contributed to their successful implementation.
In 2011, Craig returned to Trust Automation, this time as Vice President of Business Development. Craig played a key role in driving business development efforts for the Defense and Green Technology markets, focusing on customized electronic drive solutions for hybrid vehicle propulsion systems.
In 2017, Craig became the Chairman of the Industrial Advisory Board at the EE Department of California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo. Craig collaborated with the department to enhance the educational programs and partnerships with industry, working closely with the department head and representing the Industrial Advisory Board in the Industry Advisory Council.

Craig Vonilten obtained their high school diploma from James Monroe HS between 1977 and 1980. During this time, they studied AP courses, TV repair, and musical production. From 1983 to 1988, they attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Craig holds an active security clearance certification obtained in March 2022 from the United States Air Force.
