Michael Gonzalez has a strong background in software development and technology. Michael is currently working as a Software Developer at Whitespace since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Java Developer at Independence Blue Cross from February 2020 to October 2020, where they developed and debugged features for a client-facing site using Java Spring and JavaScript. Michael also optimized ORM database queries using Java Spring JPA for an internal web tool. Before that, they were a Software Engineering Intern at SevOne from June 2019 to August 2019, where they built containerized network metric collectors using Go and Docker. Michael also deployed services to Google Cloud Platform using Kubernetes and GitLab CI/CD, and implemented features using React, Node, and TypeScript. Additionally, they gained experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Delaware from September 2018 to May 2019, where they assisted students in learning the fundamentals of computer science using Racket and Python and guided them through test-driven development and functional programming. Michael also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Delaware Summer Scholars Program in June 2017.
