Nomalanga Masina is an experienced media professional currently serving as Deputy Programme Editor at TRT World since March 2018. Prior to this role, Nomalanga held positions at SOAS University of London within the Centre for Global Media and Communications in 2016-2017, and at ZiFM Stereo as Current Affairs Editor from November 2012 to December 2014. Earlier career experiences include work as an Advertising Copywriter and Graphic Artist at Hotel de Ville from April 2008 to August 2009, and as a Researcher/Writer at Zimbabwe Independent Newspaper from June 2004 to June 2007. Nomalanga's educational background includes an MPhil in Media and Film Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, participation in the Democracy & Diversity Graduate Summer Institute at the New School, and a Master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree from Rhodes University in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.
