Martin Markovits is an experienced journalist with a strong background in international reporting and documentary production. Currently serving as a National Correspondent for TRT World since June 2020, Martin previously worked as a Documentary & News Producer and International Correspondent at CGTN, where over four years, Martin produced and oversaw numerous documentaries and news packages related to significant events in Latin America. Martin has also gained recognition as a writer and director for an award-winning documentary on leftist vigilantes in Venezuela. A graduate of Columbia University with a Master's in Broadcast Journalism, Martin's career includes roles as a freelance reporter and editor, contributing to multiple media outlets while extensively covering political and social issues in Latin America.
