Derek Chen, FRM, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in fixed income and investment management. Currently serving as Vice President at T. Rowe Price since August 2019, Derek previously held the same role at Goldman Sachs from April 2014 to July 2019, where responsibilities included managing and trading credit beta risk within multi-sector portfolios. Derek's career began as a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst at Standish Mellon Asset Management from March 2008 to March 2014, focusing on asset allocation and valuation. Earlier internships include roles in Interest Rate Swaptions Trading at Banc of America Securities and Equity Derivatives Trading at JP Morgan in 2007. Derek holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master's in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, along with a BA with Honors in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
