Renate van der Bas has extensive experience in journalism and media. Since March 2016, Renate has worked as a freelance TV critic for Trouw, while also contributing articles, texts, columns, and web content on topics such as travel, food, and drink for various clients, including Bouillon Magazine, En Route, and France Atout. Previously, Renate held roles as a copywriter at reclamebureau Data Gold Moordrecht, an editor for the Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten, and a member of the editorial team at NCRV, where contributions included reports and teletekst content. Additionally, Renate ventured into the hospitality industry as a Chinese dish waiter but discovered it was not a suitable career path. Renate holds a diploma in journalism from the Christelijke Academie voor de Journalistiek.
