Bas Maliepaard is an experienced journalist, presenter, and author specializing in children's and youth literature. Currently, Bas serves as the duo-presenter of "De Grote Vriendelijke Podcast," which focuses on youth literature. As an author at Lannoo Publishers, Bas co-authored "OUT! - Alles over homoseksualiteit," a guidance book for teenagers. Bas has also contributed as a freelance writer and presenter for Stichting Lezen and Stichting CPNB, where various publications and presentations have been developed for literary events. As a freelance journalist, Bas writes weekly reviews for Trouw, covering a wide range of children's books and contributing articles to multiple magazines. Past roles include external advisor for the Nederlands Letterenfonds and editor-in-chief of Jip Magazine. Bas holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and has engaged in various educational pursuits related to media and history.
