Skip Rizzo is a prominent figure in the field of mental health and virtual reality, currently serving as Chief Scientist at UbiquityVX, Inc. since May 2023. Rizzo also contributes as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Neo Auvra and holds the position of Chief Science Officer at Cognitive Leap Solutions Inc., a company focused on providing digital mental health solutions. As a co-founder and Chief Research Officer of Virtual Psychedelics, Rizzo emphasizes research into innovative therapeutic approaches. Rizzo has been the Director of Medical Virtual Reality at the Institute for Creative Technologies at USC since 1995, with a strong academic background as a Research Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the School of Gerontology. Rizzo earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University and a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of New Orleans.
