João Otávio Barbosa is a seasoned professional in blockchain development with extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Head of Blockchain Development at TripFlip since August 2023, João leads the creation of the project's blockchain infrastructure. As Co-Founder of Y5, initiated in June 2023, João fosters collaboration in developing innovative Web3 applications. Previously, as Head of Blockchain Development at Block4, João successfully launched an NFT-based fan engagement platform and maintains its operations while exploring new opportunities. João's background also includes serving as a Blockchain Developer at EOS Rio, where innovative Web3 projects were developed. Earlier professional roles include Software Development Engineer at Bradar - Embraer Defesa & Segurança, where military-grade software was created, and Junior Software Development Engineer at Samsung Electronics, focusing on smartphone software for Latin America. João holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Federal de Itajubá and a Specialist degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
