John Lee has a diverse range of work experience in mechanical design and programming. Starting in 2001, they worked as an Instrumentation Technologist at 3M Touch Systems formerly Dynapro Systems Inc. From 2006 to 2007, they served as a Mechanical Designer at Integrated Paving Concepts, focusing on modeling asphalt surface reheating equipment. John then joined AMFD as a Mechanical Designer from 2007 to 2009, where they designed injection-molded plastic enclosures for electronic products. At Apex-Micro Manufacturing from 2007 to 2009, they continued their role as a Mechanical Designer, contributing to the design of various electronic products. From 2010 to 2010, they worked as a Mechanical Detailer Contractor at Azure Dynamics. John then became a Mechanical Detailer Contractor at Speed Data Systems from 2011 to 2011, where they measured and modified trailer designs. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Designer at Brunette Industries Ltd., reverse engineering heavy machinery parts. John then served as a Mechanical Designer at Ubique Mechanical Design Inc. from 2013 to 2013, specializing in 3D modeling of structural steel beams and columns for housing projects. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Programmer (Modeling & detailing) at Wesgar Inc., generating CNC programs and shop drawings for sheet metal parts. Lastly, they joined TriMech in 2017 as a Tech Support and Training Instructor, providing technical support for SOLIDWORKS users and conducting online training courses.
John Lee completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria. John attended the university from 1992 to 2000. In 2010, they obtained certification as a Certified SolidWorks Professional (Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Basic) from SolidWorks Corp.
