Alistair O'Brien is a Senior Software Engineer at trilitech since July 2022, where Alistair leads the ecosystems and tools team in developing advanced programming language compilers, tools, and runtimes for Tezos. Additionally, Alistair has been a PhD Researcher at the University of Cambridge since October 2022, focusing on a project titled 'Typing OCaml in OCaml: A Constraint-Based Approach', and teaches Discrete Mathematics and Computation Theory there. Alistair's previous experience includes roles as AWS Solutions Architect and Software Developer at Cloud Bridge, and as a DevOps Engineer at Dune Root Ltd. Alistair is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge, following a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the same institution, and completed A-Levels in Computer Science, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics at Ellesmere College.
