Sarah Sandle has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Sarah is currently the Head of Innovation - Central Technology at Rolls-Royce, a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the VP Group Strategy at Rolls-Royce from May 2016 to October 2020, where they managed the introduction and incubation of scenario planning capability into the Group Strategic Planning process and investment option discussions. Sarah also provided strategic connect to company Transformation plans and activities.
Before their role as VP Group Strategy, Sarah was the Corporate Planning Executive at Rolls-Royce from January 2014 to May 2016. In this role, they managed a Group level fixed cost base reduction program and reviewed all business plans progressing through the Group's strategy process.
Sarah has also held various other positions at Rolls-Royce, including Quality Executive - Civil Large Engines from April 2012 to January 2014 and Quality Director Services from July 2011 to April 2012. Sarah also served as a Transformation Executive from December 2007 to August 2011, leading and managing cultural change within the corporate functional area of Purchasing.
Additionally, Sarah has served as a Non Executive Director / Chair at Tribosonics since September 2020, and as a Non Executive Director at Enginuity since December 2018. Sarah also held the position of Lay Member - Audit Committee at Loughborough University from July 2018 to July 2021.
Sarah Sandle completed their education with an Executive Education Programme in Strategy Execution from INSEAD in the year 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University between 1987 and 1991. Their field of study during this time was engineering.
