Dr. Robert D. Santrock is the chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. A West Virginia native who returned to his Alma Matter to serve as a full-time professor of orthopaedic surgery, his passion is in the education of students, residents, and fellows. He is part of a major university program at a Level 1 Trauma center, and participates as part of the orthopaedic trauma team. Dr. Santrock is also committed to the collegiate athletics at WVU. Dr. Santrock’s special interests are in the treatment of post-traumatic arthritis and deformity of the foot and ankle, as well as in the treatment of diabetic foot disorders. Other research interests include the biomechanics of surgical materials, as well as ortho-biologic augmentation. Dr. Santrock attended WVU for his undergraduate, medical, and residency training before going on to fellowship training at The Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbus, Ohio and Ohio State University under Thomas Lee, MD and Gregory Berlet, MD.
