Simon started his career in travel in 1992 joining First Choice Holidays where he worked across all of the commercial functions, specializing in product, yield management, and capacity planning. Following the merger with Thomson Holidays, he successfully led the integration of the commercial functions of the two businesses. In 2008 he joined Crystal Ski Holidays, the UK's biggest ski tour operator, as Yield & Planning Director, becoming Managing Director of the business in 2010. He subsequently took on a portfolio general management position as President of TUI Marine and Ski where he led Crystal, the Yachts business, and Le Boat for three years. In 2016 Simon became President of Travelopia Yachts managing Sunsail, The Moorings, Leopard Catamarans, and Footloose.

Simon lives in West Sussex with his wife and twin daughters. He is an avid follower of many sports, with a particular interest in cricket, rugby union, and Aston Villa FC.
