Jim McGrath serves as the Chief of the IT Plans and Policy Division and Chief (IT) Architect at the US Department of Transportation (DOT) since September 2010, with a concurrent role as Chief Enterprise Architect at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Prior to these positions, Jim held a managerial role at Guident Technologies, focusing on project management for various initiatives at DOT, and served as a consultant during the transition from the Bush to Obama administration at the Executive Office of the President. Jim's extensive career includes roles as Program Manager at Creative Information Technology, Practice Manager at Defense Holdings and QinetiQ, and Project Manager at RateIntegration. Jim began the career as a Principal Consultant at Portal Software. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems from George Mason University.
