Sumit Kumar Das is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Bodoland Territorial Region Development Fellow with Transform Rural India since July 2022, focusing on the development initiatives aligned with the BTC Government's vision for a safe, green, and smart Bodoland. Previously, Sumit held the position of Program Manager at Envo Renewable Energy Services Pvt. Ltd. from January 2021 to June 2022, and served as a Project Associate at the All India Institute of Local Self-Government from February 2020 to January 2021 and at Innovior India from August 2018 to January 2020. In addition, Sumit coordinated the Disha program, a volunteer initiative at IIT Guwahati, where the commitment to education for nearby students began upon joining IIT Guwahati in 2016. Early experience includes a training stint at Lakwa Thermal Power Station in December 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master of Technology in Centre for Rural Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (2016-2018) and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Govt Jorhat Engineering College (2012-2016).
