Tom M. is a co-founder of TransFICC, a FinTech company specializing in trading solutions for the electronic Fixed Income and Derivatives markets since March 2016. Prior to this, Tom held various roles at LMAX Exchange, serving as a Software Developer and Junior Developer from January 2013 to March 2016, where high-performance, low-latency Java development was a focus. Tom's earlier experience includes working as an Equities IT Support Analyst at Standard Bank Group from September 2010 to January 2013, contributing to business development and support for equities, as well as serving as an IT graduate focusing on Corporate and Investment Banking. Additional experience includes a research associate position at Newcastle University in the Culture Lab, concentrating on human-computer interaction and computer-vision algorithms. Tom holds a First Class BSc Hons degree in Computing Science from Newcastle University, completed between 2006 and 2009. Technologies utilized include Murex, Fidessa, SQL, and Bash.
