John Burton is currently the Vice President of Global Software Engineering at Transact Campus, where John established the Software Engineering Centre in Ireland. Prior to this, John held various senior management positions at companies such as General Motors and Vitalograph. John also has experience as a Principal Software Engineer at Am-Beo Limited and Senior Software Developer at Skillsoft. John holds a PhD from the University of Limerick in Lero, The Irish Software Engineering Research Centre, and a BSc in Computer Science and Information Systems from the same university.
