Waleed Faris is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in software design, development, and consulting. Currently serving as Chief Architect for NA Trading IT at Trafigura since September 2022, Waleed is responsible for designing and optimizing solutions across North American liquids, gas, and power sectors. Previously, Waleed held key positions such as Director at MRE Consulting and Executive Director/President at The Palestinian American Cultural Center in Houston, focusing on cultural and humanitarian initiatives. Waleed also has a proven track record in earlier roles with Trafigura and MRE Consulting, delivering significant value through bespoke automated solutions. An educator, Waleed served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Houston and has an academic background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Houston.
