Preston Johnson is an experienced professional in energy trading and market risk management, currently serving as the US Power Deals Desk Team Lead at Trafigura since May 2015. In this role, Preston specializes in commercial analysis, hedging, and risk management for the Puma Energy Supply Business across the Americas and the Caribbean, overseeing mark to market production and communicating PnL movements for various oil products. Prior to Trafigura, Preston held positions at Goldman Sachs, RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, and RWE npower, where responsibilities included scheduling gas and power logistics, power trading optimization, and completion of a commercial graduate scheme. Preston began career as a Back Office Analyst at Marex Spectron after earning a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Birmingham in 2006.
