Jonathan Kalkstein MD PhD is a psychiatrist with extensive experience in both inpatient and clinical settings. Since 2008, Kalkstein has worked at Traditions Behavioral Health as an inpatient and PES psychiatrist. Concurrently, Kalkstein has been affiliated with UCSF since 2004, serving as a psychiatrist and conducting research as a neuroscience and psychiatry postdoctoral fellow, focusing on the neural mechanisms of attention and memory through advanced imaging techniques. Recently, Kalkstein supervised nurse practitioners as a psychiatrist at Cerebral from May 2022 to May 2023. Kalkstein holds an MD and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, completed in 2004, and earned a B.S. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University in 1995.
