Thomas Lloyd has worked in the maritime industry since 1979. Thomas began their career at US Lines as Director, Intermodal Pricing, and then moved on to Dart Containerline / OOCL as Account Executive in 1983. In 1987, they joined Crowley American Transport as Vice President, International Pricing. After four years, they moved to Grupo Libra as Owner's Representative in 1991. In 2000, they accepted a position at Global Maritime Transportation Services, Inc. as Vice President, Marketing & Sales. Thomas then joined Trade Tech Inc. in 2010, where they have held the roles of Vice President - Customer Relations & Data Services and Director, Sales.

Thomas Lloyd attended Bucknell University from 1974 to 1978, where they earned an AB in Economics. Thomas also obtained a Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) Practitioner certification in October 2011.
