Tracy Aviary is a non-profit aviary located on eight acres of land in the heart of Salt Lake City. A charitable act by Salt Lake City banker Russell Lord Tracy founded Tracy Aviary when he donated his private bird collection to Salt Lake City and its children. Open to the public since 1938, Tracy Aviary maintains a collection of approximately 400 birds representing about 135 species. Many of these birds are considered rare or endangered.

The Aviculture and Conservation team at Tracy Aviary is responsible for the care, breeding, and health monitoring of the aviary's diverse bird collection, including rare and endangered species. They also engage in conservation efforts, research, and educational outreach to promote bird conservation awareness and facilitate community involvement in wildlife preservation.
