Sharon Burke is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in various leadership and managerial roles. As Co-Founder of Portage Helping Hands since January 2018, Sharon has played a significant role in community service initiatives. Sharon serves as Office Manager at The Heartland Group General Contractors LLC and as Vice Chairman for the Merrillville/Ross Township Republican Committee. Additionally, in the role of Assistant Coordinator for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Sharon contributes to charitable efforts. As Executive Director of the Northwest Indiana Auto Trade Association Inc, Sharon oversees operations for the non-profit organization representing car dealerships in the region. Previous positions include Account Executive at Lamar Advertising Company and Executive Assistant to the Superintendent at Portage Township School Corp. Sharon began a notable career at the Post-Tribune, where they excelled as Classified Manager for 30 years. Sharon holds a diploma from Portage High School, completed in 1972.
