Joseph Kolodziej, MPA has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Joseph worked as the CFO for the Township of Maplewood from 2018 to the present. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2018, they served as a Councilman for the City of Clifton, where they were responsible for managing a $110M budget and overseeing various aspects of city planning and development. Additionally, they were a Board Member and President for the Board of Education in Clifton, where they provided strategic oversight to a $150M budget and handled executive hiring, budget approval, and union contract negotiations. Joseph also held the position of COO/CFO at CbNA, Inc. for twenty years. Joseph has experience as a Vice President on the Board of Directors for EverGreen Manor and as the Borough Administrator for the Borough of Emerson. Furthermore, they were a member of the Advisory Board for Barnabas Health/Barnabas Foundation, where they provided strategic input for fundraising, programs, educational endeavors, and messaging for the St. Barnabas Burn Foundation.
Joseph Kolodziej, MPA holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Penn State University. Additionally, they have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Montclair State University. Joseph has also pursued studies in Engineering at Rutgers University. Joseph Kolodziej has obtained various certifications, including Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO), Certified School Business Administrator, Certified Tax Collector (Unrestricted), and Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA), all from the State of New Jersey.
