Kyle Shipp is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering, leadership, and public service. Currently serving as a Senior BAS Engineer at Microsoft since June 2023, Kyle contributes to the Critical Environment Systems Intelligence team. As the Mayor of Pittsboro, North Carolina, since March 2018, Kyle focuses on community engagement, policy-making, and economic development. Prior roles include BMS Quality Manager at Meta, where Kyle standardized Building Management Systems, and various positions at DPR Construction, where integration of building systems and coordination for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Controls was paramount. Kyle's military background as a Squad Leader in the US Army further complements a robust career starting from ownership of a computer services company to earlier engineering roles at Bose Corporation and Automated Logic Corporation. Kyle holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Kettering University.
