Nick Gifford has varied work experience spanning over 20 years. Nick started their career as a Software Engineer at ORBCOMM in 1998 and worked there until 2000. From 2000 to 2001, Nick worked as a Software Engineer at Interloci, Inc. Nick then joined Echoburst, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at St. Bernard Software. Nick then moved to IP3 Networks in 2006 and served as a Senior Software Engineer for a brief period of time. Simultaneously, in 2006, they began working as a Staff Engineer at Nextwave Wireless, Inc. until 2009. After that, Nick worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Ingenu from 2009 to 2018. Lastly, in 2019, they joined Totum Labs and currently holds the role of an Engineer.

Nick Gifford pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computational Mathematics from the University of Arizona from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University San Marcos, attending from 2002 to 2003.
