Jorge Vasquez is currently a Doctoral candidate in Advanced Social Studies at Universidad Central, focusing on environmental grassroots movements in Latin America and the Caribbean as alternative paths towards sustainable development. Previously, Vasquez served as an English Teacher at Universidad Diego Portales and worked as a Research Assistant at ECLAC, in addition to engaging in various roles related to migration research, including as a FONDECYT thesis student. Notable experience includes a consultancy with The World Bank on ethno-racial inclusion and work coordinating an initiative providing Spanish classes and legal workshops for Haitian immigrants. Academically, Vasquez holds a Master's degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad Diego Portales, as well as a certificate in Social Sciences and Humanities from Sciences Po.
