Alexander Hansen Færøy is a seasoned software engineer and team leader with extensive experience in anonymity technology and software development. Currently serving as the Network Team Lead at The Tor Project since February 2017, Alexander oversees the development and maintenance of core anonymity technologies. Additionally, Alexander owns Færøy Data, a consulting firm specializing in software engineering and security. With a history of significant roles, including Core Developer for both The Irssi Project and the Tor network daemon, Alexander has contributed to numerous software projects and has been instrumental in various companies, including Tjek as Head of Data Engineering and Nokia as Software Engineer. Educational credentials include a B.Sc. in Mathematics from The Open University and a high school diploma from Frederiksberg Tekniske Gymnasium.
