Anita Corfield has extensive experience in financial management, holding key positions within various regional councils in Queensland. Currently serving as the Secretary and Committee Member for Local Government Finance Professionals Queensland since November 2020, Anita also occupies the role of Management Accountant at Toowoomba Regional Council. Previous roles include Financial Accountant at Western Downs Regional Council and Accountant at North Burnett Regional Council, where responsibilities encompassed financial and statutory reporting, budgeting, and leading the finance team. Anita's career began as an Administration Trainee at Biggenden Shire Council. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate of Leadership and Coaching from the University of Southern Queensland, CPA designation from CPA Australia, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Central Queensland University.
