Wendy Phelps is a Senior Planner at Toole Design Group since September 2014, specializing in active transportation planning, including projects related to bicycle and pedestrian master plans, bike share feasibility studies, and Safe Routes to School initiatives. Wendy has expanded work beyond the Mid-Atlantic region as Project Manager for the Meigs County, OH Active Transportation Plan and as Deputy Project Manager for the Austin, TX Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Plan. Previous experience includes serving as a Bicycle + Pedestrian Intern with the City of Charlottesville, a Teaching/Research Assistant at the University of Virginia School of Architecture, and various other roles in planning, zoning, and educational settings. Wendy holds a Master’s degree in Urban + Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Pitzer College.
